Overview
At any time, you may update bill pay virtual cards you have created in order to effectively manage your spend.
Updating Existing Bill Pay Cards
Follow along with the step by step instructions below.
- Navigate to the Bill Pay section
- Select the bill pay card (the dedicated invoice payment) you wish to view. This will bring you to the card overview page, where you can view all card information.
- Select the Update Virtual Card button. You will be able to update:
- Invoice Number
- Invoice Date
- Active Until Date
- Expense Categories (if available in your organization)
- Notes and Attachments
- When a value is changed, green highlights will indicate intended changes to the section. When you have made the desired changes, click the Update Virtual Card button to save your changes.
Any changes made will be effective immediately and reflected on the card history.
To deactivate a Bill Pay Card:
- Select the Bill pay Card you want to deactivate
- On the card overview page, select the Virtual Card Options dropdown
- You can choose to deactivate the card or to permanently close the card.
Deactivate: This will deactivate the card immediately. Pending transactions that have already been authorized will clear and any future transactions will be declined. You may reactivate the card at any time.
Permanently Close: This will deactivate the card immediately and the card will not be able to be reactivated. Pending transactions that have already been authorized will clear and any future transactions will be declined. - You will be prompted to confirm your selection.
- Once you confirm, the changes will be made effective immediately and reflected on the card history.
Note: A Bill Pay Card can only be updated by its creator or a team budget user. The funding source of the card cannot be changed.
