Budgets are a powerful and simple tool to keep your finances organized. Control and track spending by creating budgets for different projects, clients, or departments and give your team the power to manage their expense needs while maintaining total visibility.
It only takes a few minutes to create a Standard, Recurring, or Unlimited Budget!
Standard Budget
A Standard Budget has a one-time set spend limit. The person you send this budget to can use it to create multiple virtual cards as needed within this set limit. These budgets are ideal for project-based spending.
Note: The limit you set will automatically be drawn down as the budget recipient creates new virtual cards, regardless of whether or not transactions have occurred on those cards.
For details about how to create a Standard Budget, see the “How do I create or update a budget?” article.
Recurring Budget
A Recurring Budget is just like a Standard Budget, except you can automatically replenish the budget up to a set limit at a specified frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, on a particular day, etc.). These budgets are great for giving teams allowances or managing recurring expenses such as subscription payments, recurring vendor charges, or managing employee spending.
Note: The limit you set will automatically be drawn down as the budget recipient creates new virtual cards, regardless of whether or not transactions have occurred on those cards.
For details about how to create a Recurring Budget, see the “How do I create or update a budget?” article.
Unlimited Budget
An Unlimited Budget is created just like a Standard Budget, but without a set spend limit. This budget is ideal for a team that needs to create virtual cards without worrying about an expiration date or a definite limit. You can create this budget from the Standard Budget option and select “Unlimited” when setting the Budget Details.
Note: An Unlimited Budget is technically limited by the funding source it is tied to so the budget users do not exceed the bank-issued card limit.
